AirMed Scandal: Ntim Fordjour's Interrogation to Be Made Public for Transparency - Kwakye Ofosu
Felix Kwakye Ofosu is the Presidential Spokesperson and Minister for Government Communications

Accra, Ghana - 09 April, 2025 - Ghana's Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has requested that the interrogation of Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, a member of parliament, be made public.

This comes after Ntim Fordjour alleged that two aircraft that landed at Kotoka International Airport were involved in drug trafficking and money laundering.

Background to the Allegations
Rev. Ntim Fordjour, Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee, claimed that the two aircraft entered Ghanaian airspace under suspicious circumstances. He called for thorough investigations and urged Parliament to engage the intelligence community for a security briefing.

However, the government has dismissed the concerns, accusing Ntim Fordjour of politicizing national security matters.

Government's Response
Felix Kwakye Ofosu called for transparency in addressing allegations surrounding suspicious flights during an interview on Channel One TV's 'Face to Face' programme on Tuesday April 8.

He stated that the interrogation of Ntim Fordjour should be recorded and released to the public to bring clarity and accountability to the controversy surrounding the "suspicious flights".

“I have requested that his interrogation or the questions that they will pose to him should be recorded and released to the public… For purposes of public interests and transparency they can show it,” he stated.

Controversy Escalates
The controversy has escalated with Ntim Fordjour hitting back at Kwakye Ofosu, describing his response as "disingenuous and incoherent". Ntim Fordjour accused the government of evading accountability and attempting to cover up high-level security and economic infractions involving suspicious flights, gold and currency seizures, and major drug busts.
