Accra, Ghana – 18 July, 2025 - The trial of Kwabena Adu-Boahen, former Director of the National Signals Bureau, and three others continued on July 18, 2025.

Frank Anane Dekpey, the first prosecution witness and former chauffeur for the accused, testified that he used to deliver money from the bank in "Ghana Must Go" bags for Adu-Boahen.

Dekpey ,a former taxi driver for 12 years worked as a chauffeur for Adu-Boahen and the other accused persons for five years, often running bank errands for them. He would collect money from the UMB bank's Labone branch and make deposits and withdrawals from Stanbic Bank's Airport branch on instructions from Mildred Donkor, the third accused.

Dekpey who denied working with the National Security stated that he didn't know the exact amounts being withdrawn or deposited because the cheques were sealed in envelopes and mentioned that funds were typically deposited into accounts held by Perfect Solutions.

He said he knew the third accused, Mildred Donkor from the Cedar Mountain Chapel International, where they both worshiped and ran errands for her including washing her vehicle.

The witness admitted to being invited by the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) for questioning, which led to a week-long detention and interrogation and subsequently released on bail after his signature was found behind bank receipts.

The trial has been adjourned to July 25, 2025.
