'Where are the jobs you say you have created? -Mahama asks Bawumia
Asutifi North, Ahafo Region, Ghana - Former President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) assertion that 2.1 million jobs were created under their administration, calling it a "political gimmick" to sway voters.
In a campaign stop in Asutifi North, Ahafo Region, Mahama challenged the NPP to provide evidence supporting their job creation claims, arguing that the figures are inflated and do not reflect Ghana's current employment reality.
“We cannot be deceived by the unemployment rate, under the NDC administration it was 8.4% but it has since risen.
"Despite the president and vice president claiming to have created over two million jobs, I ask where are these jobs and how many have reached the residents."
“This seems like mere rhetoric aimed at winning votes. That is why we are advocating for a 24-hour economy policy to create new job opportunities,” he stated.
