We are going forward with Bawumia - Akufo-Addo
Tema, Ghana - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sounded a stark warning to Ghanaians, cautioning that electing John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 elections would spell disaster for the country's development.
Addressing a gathering during the sod-cutting ceremony for the expansion of the Tema Motorway, President Akufo-Addo argued that Mahama and the NDC lack new ideas and would revert Ghana to a period of hardship and underdevelopment.
In contrast, President Akufo-Addo extolled the virtues of his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the ideal candidate to lead Ghana's development and ensure continued progress.
"We are going forward. We are not going back to the era of stagnation and non-performance. We are going forward with [Dr. Mahamudu] Bawumia to a better, more inclusive and more prosperous Ghana," he stated.
The President's remarks come as the election campaign intensifies, with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and opposition NDC engaging in a heated battle for votes.
