Suhum MP Kwadjo Asante reaffirms independent candidacy
Accra, Ghana - October 23, 2024 - Suhum Constituency MP Kwadjo Asante, popularly known as "Boafo", has reaffirmed his commitment to contest the upcoming elections as an independent candidate, dispelling rumors of his withdrawal.
The rumors emerged after a photo of Asante with the Majority Leader surfaced following the Speaker of Parliament's indefinite adjournment of sittings.
In an interview with Channel One News, Samuel Baah Gosh, spokesperson for Asante's campaign team, stated categorically that Asante will contest the Suhum seat as an independent candidate in the December 7, 2024 elections.
Meanwhile, constituents expressed optimism about Asante's work, citing his developmental projects, including asphalt roads, hospitals, and markets.
