Police arrest Bishop Elisha Amoako, Wife as investigation into fatal East Legon crash continues
Accra, Ghana - October 15, 2024 - Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, a renowned Ghanaian prophet, and his wife, Mouha Amoako, have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service in connection with a fatal accident that claimed two lives at East Legon on October 12, 2024.
The accident involved their 16-year-old son, Elrad Salifu Amoako, who was driving a Jaguar SUV that crashed into a 4×4 Acura vehicle.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, particularly given Elrad's young age and the severity of the incident. Bishop Elisha and his wife are currently assisting authorities with further inquiries.
In a show of solidarity, a team from the Police Management Board, led by Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, visited the bereaved family and the injured at the hospital.
The police have assured the public of a thorough investigation to bring closure to the affected family.
