Ayine Nominates Sosu, Kasser-Tee, and Bamba to General Legal Council

Accra, Ghana - 10 March, 2025 - Ghana's legal landscape is set for a significant boost as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, nominates three experts to join the General Legal Council.

The Council, established in 1960, plays a crucial role in regulating legal education and professional conduct in Ghana.

The nominees, Francis Xavier Sosu, Clara Beeri Kasser-Tee, and Dr. Abdul-Bassit Aziz Bamba, bring a wealth of experience to the table. As a Member of Parliament, a lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law, and a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana, respectively, they are well-equipped to strengthen the Council's role in maintaining professional standards within the legal profession.

Their appointment is expected to have a positive impact on Ghana's legal sector, ensuring that legal education and professional conduct meet the highest standards. The move has also been welcomed by President John Mahama, who has been informed of the nominations.
