Otto Addo keeps faith in Black Stars' attackers despite goalless draw

Accra, Ghana - October 11, 2024 - Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has come to the defense of his misfiring forwards, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver despite a disappointing goalless draw against Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

The draw 0-0 with Sudan yesterday marked Ghana's third consecutive match without a win, sparking criticism over the team's attacking prowess.

However, Addo remains steadfast in his support for forwards Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, and creative midfielder Mohammed Kudus, who squandered several clear chances.

“I think they’ve shown on every level they can score all of them and I believe in them; they will score in the next game,'' he said.

Ghana faces Sudan again on Monday, October 14, at 13:00 GMT in Libya, a neutral venue chosen due to security concerns in Sudan. The Black Stars currently rank third in Group F with two points from three games, while Sudan sits second with four points.
