Accra, Ghana - Renowned highlife singer Ofori Amponsah has thrown his weight behind New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the December 7 elections.

In a video shared by celebrated music producer Appietus on Instagram, Ofori Amponsah is seen recording a campaign song titled "Breaking the 8" in support of Dr. Bawumia's bid.

Appietus, known for producing songs for the NPP during elections, captioned the post: "From Lumba with 'Nana Ye Winner' to 'Breaking The 8' by Ofori Amponsah. Song about to drop."

This endorsement comes as the political landscape heats up ahead of the upcoming elections, with various celebrities and public figures declaring their support for different candidates.
