Mahama welcomes NDC's 8th ballot position as 'symbol of hope'
Accra, Ghana - National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has expressed optimism after his party secured the 8th position on the 2024 presidential election ballot.
The Electoral Commission's balloting exercise on September 20, 2023, determined the placement.
Mahama viewed the number eight as a symbol of hope and change for the NDC, sharing his thoughts on Facebook.
“I am excited that we picked No. 8 on the ballot for the upcoming presidential elections. Let’s make this a number of hope and change on December 7,” Mahama wrote.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin also endorsed the number, stating, "8 is excellent. Don't break it. Choose it!" on social media, signaling strong support for the party.
