Kudus apologizes for Black Stars' disappointing AFCON Qualifier results
Accra, Ghana - October 17, 2024 - Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus has issued a heartfelt apology to Ghanaians following the team's disappointing performances in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Stars' lackluster displays against Sudan, resulting in a 0-0 draw in Accra and a 2-0 loss in the reverse fixture in Omdurman, Libya, have sparked widespread disappointment among fans.
Kudus, who assumed the captaincy in the absence of Thomas Partey, took to social media to express his regret and reassure supporters of the team's commitment to improvement.
"We want to assure Ghanaians that we are committed to learning from our mistakes, regrouping and working tirelessly to restore the Black Stars to our former glory" Kudus stated.
The midfielder's apology comes amidst growing concerns over the team's form, with the Black Stars winless since June.
