I will fulfil my promise and prioritize job creation if elected - Bawumia
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says he will fulfil all his promises to Ghanaians if he is elected into office.
Speaking at the launch of the NPP's 2024 Manifesto launch in Takoradi on August 18, 2024, the vice president highlighted the government’s commitment to tackling unemployment and improving living conditions.
He stated that key initiatives such as digital transformation, infrastructural development, and job creation would be prioritized in order to improve quality of life of Ghanaians.
Dr. Bawumia acknowledged Ghanaians' economic challenges in recent years, but expressed optimism that with the right leadership, the country can turn a corner.
He promised to collaborate closely with stakeholders, including the commercial sector, traditional leaders, and civil society organizations, to guarantee that all development initiatives are efficiently carried out.
"Indeed, we have listed them to show that we remain committed to fulfilling the social contract we have with the good people of Ghana.
"Above all, this exercise confirms that hundreds of pledges have been made to the Ghanaian people, and broadly, they have been kept, and given the opportunity, more impactful and forward looking interventions will be implemented to move Ghana to the next level of the development journey; a journey that will build on our successes to open opportunities for all," he said.
