Ghana vs Sudan : It's a crucial match, we cannot allow cheap goals- Otto Addo

Accra, Ghana - The Black Stars are under intense pressure to deliver a win against Sudan in their next AFCON qualifier, scheduled for next month.

Following a disappointing defeat to Angola and a draw against Niger, head coach Otto Addo has urged his players to rise to the occasion and secure a vital victory.

"It will be difficult again. I knew from the start, it's just some little margins, little details which can decide.

"This will be again, for us it will be a crucial match. We have to win. There is no way around it, and we have to win," he added.

"If we want to have the chance to play better after, we have to win. We are under pressure, this is for sure and we have to do better," he said.

Ghana's chances of qualifying for the AFCON tournament in Morocco are hanging by a thread, and anything less than a win against Sudan could dash their dreams.

The team's recent performances have been underwhelming, and the pressure is mounting on Addo and his players to deliver.

AAddo highlighted the importance of learning from past mistakes in the first two matches and not allow cheap goals.

"We are allowing too cheap goals. Like I said, I am disappointed; we didn't learn the lessons from the first game," he said.

"Now it's a set piece, we are all back, we need to defend this better, this is for sure and like I said, I am really disappointed.

"We have to improve to use our chances and also to defend better in detail and to learn our lessons. Like I said, the goals are too cheap, and we have to grow from this," Addo explained.
