FAWE Ghana celebrates Dr. Muhwezi on new role as Head of FAWE Regional Secretariat

Dr. Martha R. L. Muhwezi is the newly appointed Head of FAWE Regional Secretariat

Accra, Ghana - The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Ghana has congratulated Dr. Martha R. L. Muhwezi on her latest achievement as Head of the FAWE Regional Secretariat.

Dr. Muhwezi, a renowned development specialist, oversees the day-to-day management of FAWE, ensuring effective implementation of fiscal operations, fundraising, advocacy, human resources, and programmatic strategies across the FAWE network.

With over 20 years of experience in the civil society sector, Dr. Muhwezi brings expertise in organization management, program coordination, gender mainstreaming, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Muhwezi served as Senior Programme Coordinating Officer, supporting FAWE programs in 34 National Chapters. She also held leadership positions in FAWE Uganda, including Executive Director, and worked with Child Fund International.

Dr. Muhwezi holds a Master's degree in Women Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
