CAF launches new VAR Academy

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a groundbreaking VAR Academy project aimed at elevating the standard of refereeing across the continent.

This innovative initiative seeks to improve officiating at all CAF Member Associations through a series of workshops and training sessions.

The VAR Academy project will kick off with workshops in five African countries: Ivory Coast, Tanzania, South Africa, Egypt, and Senegal.

These workshops will provide a platform for 180 officials to receive comprehensive training on the latest refereeing techniques and technologies.

By investing in the development of African referees, CAF aims to enhance the overall quality of football on the continent.
