Ashaiman NDC Chairman Shaddad Umar Jallo Passes Away
Ashaiman, Greater Accra Region - 14 June, 2025 - The Ashaiman Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Shaddad Umar Jallo, has passed away after reportedly falling ill.
Jallo, who was serving his second term as chairman, died on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in East Legon. According to family sources, he had been experiencing health issues related to high blood pressure, although the official cause of death has not been confirmed.
Jallo was a key figure in the NDC, playing a pivotal role in the party's 2024 election campaign. His efforts were credited with reducing the New Patriotic Party's vote share in Ashaiman.
He is survived by his wife and eight children.
In accordance with Islamic rites, he will be buried on Sunday, June 15, at 9:00 AM.
