AFCONQ: Djiku, Nuamah returns as Otto Addo unveils 25-man squad for Sudan clash

Accra, Ghana - October 4, 2024 - Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has unveiled a 25-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

The team prepares to face Sudan in a crucial doubleheader, seeking to revive their qualifying campaign.

Key returnees include Alexander Djiku, Ernest Numah, and Ibrahim Sulemana, who have recovered from injuries. Gideon Mensah, recently back in action for Auxerre, also makes the cut.

Debutant Isaac Afful, Samartex defender, earns his first call-up following impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League. Afful joins Frederick Asare as the only local-based players in the squad.

Ghana aims to bounce back from a winless start in their opening two games against Angola and Niger.

The Black Stars will host Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 10 and travel for the return leg on October 15.
