37 Military Hospital Temporarily Closes Emergency Unit for Fumigation and Maintenance

Accra, Ghana – 2 August, 2025 – The Ghana Armed Forces has announced the temporary closure of the Trauma and Surgical Emergency Unit at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. The 10-day closure, scheduled from August 4 to August 13, 2025, aims to enhance hygiene and safety standards at the hospital.

During the closure, Simango Ward will serve as the designated unit for trauma and surgical emergency cases. The Ghana Armed Forces has assured the public that measures are in place to ensure continuity of care and minimize inconvenience.

The hospital has appealed to the public for cooperation and patience during the temporary closure. Patients in need of emergency medical attention are advised to visit alternative healthcare facilities.
