''Who Born Dog!'' - Kennedy Agyapong Launches Scathing Attack on Abronye

Berekum, Bono Region, Ghana - 29 April, 2025 - A heated exchange erupted between former Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye during Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's national thank-you tour in Berekum, Bono Region.

The confrontation nearly derailed the meeting, with both men engaging in a verbal sparring match.

The clash began when Abronye, in his welcome address, criticized individuals advocating for unity within the party while having previously contributed to internal discord.

The disagreement also centered around Agyapong's proposal for the party to grant amnesty to former members and those on suspension.

Abronye opposed the idea, arguing it would promote indiscipline and reward misconduct.

This party needs discipline and I do not support such a proposal, he said.

He specifically referenced comments made by Prof. Mike Ocquaye's post-election fact-finding committee, suggesting these remarks were used by the opposition NDC during the elections.

Agyapong took umbrage with Abronye's comments, interpreting them as a personal attack. In response, Agyapong launched a counterattack, questioning Abronye's contributions to the party and criticizing his record as Regional Chairman.

Agyapong highlighted the NPP's limited parliamentary presence in the region under Abronye's leadership.

''Some people talk as if they own the party, but they don't. If we are seeking real men in the party, they don't measure up. Their financial contribution is minimal. They go around begging yet they have mouths to talk. Even you poor people want to speak your mind, how much more rich men like us. Who born dog!'' Kennedy Agyapong angrily remarked.

The tense exchange underscores ongoing internal party dynamics and power struggles within the NPP.
