VP Opoku-Agyemang Returns Home After UK Medical Treatment

Accra, Ghana - 22 May, 2025 - Ghana's Vice President, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has returned to the country after undergoing medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

Her arrival marks the end of a period of medical leave, which began after she received initial treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

President John Dramani Mahama had earlier expressed relief and gratitude for the Vice President's recovery, announcing during a Thank You Tour in Dodowa on May 16 that she would be returning to Ghana soon. "By God's grace, she is fully recovered and she's going to come and go back to her duties," he said.

Government officials, including Felix Kwakye Ofosu, had also confirmed that the Vice President was in good health, despite undergoing treatment.

With her return, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang is expected to resume her official duties.
