The Bank Hospital Denies Breach of Confidentiality in Daddy Lumba's Care
Accra, Ghana – 31 July, 2025 – The Bank Hospital has strongly refuted allegations of breaching the confidentiality and privacy of late Ghanaian music icon, Daddy Lumba, who passed away at the facility on July 26, 2025. The hospital's management described the claims, allegedly made by social media personality Afia Schwarzenegger, as "false and defamatory".
According to the hospital, Daddy Lumba received professional and dignified medical care during his stay, with his family fully involved in the process. "The care provided to Mr. Charles Kwadwo Fosu was delivered with professionalism, dignity, and strict confidentiality," the statement emphasized.
The hospital highlighted that Daddy Lumba's family was present throughout his medical journey, from admission to his passing. This, they said, reflects their commitment to patient-centered care and transparency.
The Bank Hospital has initiated an internal review to assess the circumstances surrounding Daddy Lumba's admission and treatment. Any findings from this review will be shared with the family, consistent with best medical practices and ethical standards.
