In a statement released on Tuesday, Dec 10 and signed by its president, Kwabena Yeboah, SWAG praised Mahama's commitment to sports development, demonstrated by his engagement with major stakeholders, including the association, during his pre-election campaign.

The association urged Mahama to increase funding for sports development, support grassroots sports development and also make the sports sector a vital part of the economy.
