Salifu Amoako’s son remanded over East Legon accident
Accra, Ghana - November 1, 2024 - Prophet Salifu Amoako's 16-year-old son has been remanded in custody following a fatal accident at East Legon that claimed two lives.
The accident occurred on October 12 when the teenager, who was driving without a license, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into another car. The court ordered the teenager's placement at the Osu Boys Home and instructed him to surrender his Ghanaian and US passports by November 4.
He's also set to undergo a medical examination at the University of Ghana Medical Centre on the same day.
The case has sparked public outcry, with many calling for justice and questioning how the teenager gained access to the vehicle.
The bishop's son is expected to appear in court again on November 7 for further proceedings.
