Monrovia, Liberia – 8 August, 2025 - In a solemn ceremony held at the Ghanaian Embassy in Congo Town, Monrovia, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. and his Cabinet ministers signed the Book of Condolence for the tragic loss of high-ranking Ghanaian officials who perished in a military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.
The crash claimed the lives of prominent figures, including Minister of Defense Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister of Environment, Science, Technology & Innovation Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru, among others.
The ceremony served as a poignant moment of regional solidarity and mourning, with President Boakai conveying his deepest sympathies to President John Dramani Mahama, the bereaved families, and the people of Ghana.
