Piina SHS Headmaster Interdicted Over Food Smuggling

Upper West, Ghana - 10 Feb, 2025 - Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken swift action against Adams Mahama Issahaku, the headmaster of Piina Senior High School in the Upper West Region, following allegations of misconduct.
Effective immediately, Mr. Issahaku has been interdicted, pending a thorough investigation into claims of food items found in his official vehicle during a trip to Wa on February 6.
Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, Regional Director of GES, emphasized in a letter that this interdiction is a procedural measure, not a presumption of guilt.
He also assured stakeholders that the investigation will be fair and transparent. Mr. Issahaku will be notified of the findings and any subsequent decisions.
Mr. Issahaku has been instructed to hand over the administration of the school and all associated property to the Upper West Regional Director of Education. He is also required to cooperate fully with the investigation.
