November 8 is not a public holiday, farmers' day remains Dec 6 - Interior Ministry
Accra, Ghana - Nov 5, 2024 - Ghana's Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, November 8, will not be a public holiday, despite marking the 2024 National Farmers' Day on that date.
This clarification was made by Minister Henry Quartey in a press statement issued on Tuesday, November 5.
Instead, Friday, December 6, 2024, will remain the official statutory public holiday for Farmers' Day, observed nationwide.
This year's National Farmers' Day celebration will be hosted in the Greater Accra Region, with President Akufo-Addo confirming the date for the 40th edition of the annual event.
