No Change in Ownership - Melcom Assures Public

Accra, Ghana - January 01, 2025 - Melcom Group of Companies, a prominent retail chain in Ghana, has moved to address speculation surrounding its ownership structure.

In a public notice, the company reassured stakeholders that its ownership remains unchanged, with the business continuing to operate as a private entity without external shareholders.

The clarification comes amid unfounded claims circulating in the public domain, which suggested a shift in the company's ownership.

Melcom has urged the public to disregard such rumours, stressing that they are entirely misleading and without foundation.

“we wish to inform the general public and all stakeholders that there has been no change in the ownership structure of Melcom Ltd. and its subsidiaries. The group remains privately held, with no external shareholding.”

“We kindly request that all rumours and speculation regarding changes in ownership be disregarded and ceased from circulation,'' the statement read.
