National Security Uncovers Suspected Gold Bars, Fake Currency in Warehouse Raid
Accra, Ghana - 10 Feb, 2025 - Ghana's National Security have unearthed a sprawling financial scandal involving millions of dollars in illicit cash and suspected gold bars hidden in12 shipping containers at a warehouse in Sapeiman in the Ga South Municipality.
According to National Security officials, two containers remain unaccounted for, but are being actively tracked and the mastermind behind the operation, known only by his alias, Alhaji remains at large.
Security agencies are also working tirelessly to track down four suspect and dismantle the extensive network of accomplices.
Further investigation of the warehouse yielded a trove of illicit goods, featuring suspected gold bullion, fake currency in various denominations, and counterfeit military gear.
