Muntaka Swears in New NIA Board Members

Accra, Ghana - 09 May, 2025 - The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has sworn in a new Governing Board for the National Identification Authority (NIA), tasking them with guiding the organization in its mission to enhance national identification systems.

The board, led by Chairman Moses Afetsi Positive, comprises nine other esteemed members, including Dr. Gifty Seiwaa Nyarkoo, Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu, and Mr. Samuel Adom Botchway.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Hon. Muntaka emphasized the importance of the NIA's mandate in providing a secure and reliable identification system for all Ghanaians. He expressed confidence in the Board's ability to drive the Authority's efforts in enhancing national security and promoting socioeconomic development.

In his acceptance speech, Chairman Moses Afetsi Positive pledged the Board's commitment to supporting the NIA's objectives, promising to foster collaboration and transparency during their tenure.

The new Board is expected to provide strategic direction and oversight to the NIA, ensuring the delivery of quality identification services to the public.
