Mahama to Establish Inter-Ministerial Committee to Implement National Economic Dialogue Recommendations

Accra, Ghana - 04 June, 2025 - Ghana's President, John Dramani Mahama, has unveiled plans to set up a high-level committee to oversee the implementation of key recommendations from the National Economic Dialogue, a recent nationwide initiative aimed at stimulating economic growth and development.

This inter-ministerial committee will bring together stakeholders from government, civil society, and the private sector to spearhead policy initiatives and actions that will help propel Ghana's economic recovery.

The newly formed inter-ministerial committee will play a pivotal role in translating these recommendations into tangible policy measures and actions. Comprising representatives from various government ministries, as well as observers from the civil society and private sectors, the committee will ensure a coordinated and inclusive approach to implementing the dialogue's outcomes.

According to Mahama, a  key aspect of the committee's mandate will be to provide regular updates on its progress. By August 2025, the committee is expected to publish a final implementation bulletin, detailing the steps taken to address the dialogue's recommendations and the progress made towards achieving the outlined objectives.

“In the coming days our issue an executive directive establishing an inter-ministerial implementation committee to coordinate all actions flowing from the dialogue report.

“That committee will include civil society and private sector observers and will publish its final implementation bulletin by August 2025,” Mahama said.
