Mahama to Establish Committee for Comprehensive Educational Reforms
Accra, Ghana - 10 Jan, 2025 - In a bid to revamp Ghana's education sector, President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to establish a National Education Reform Committee.
Speaking at the National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission Ghana in Winneba on Thursday, January 9, Mahama stated that the committee's primary objective is to conduct a comprehensive review of the country's educational system, spanning from basic to tertiary levels.
According to him, the reforms aim to strengthen Ghana's educational sector, addressing its evolving needs and enhancing the quality and accessibility of education.
President Mahama emphasized the importance of these reforms, stating that a planning committee will be set up to work on the National Education Review Conference.
“I will set up a planning committee to start working on the National Education Review Conference that I promised. This conference will review our educational system right from kindergarten through the basic to secondary to tertiary to technical, vocational education and identify what the hindrances to quality education are at each level of our educational system,'' he stated.
