Mahama names Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo as Acting Head of Gaming Commission

Accra, Ghana - 24 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama has named Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo as the acting head of the Gaming Commission of Ghana, a move that aligns with the President's promise to form his government within 14 days.

The appointment, announced in a letter signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, is subject to confirmation by the governing board of the Gaming Commission, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

As acting Commissioner, Mr. Quainoo will oversee the regulation of Ghana's gaming industry, including casinos, sports betting, and other forms of gaming. The Gaming Commission plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with national laws, promoting responsible gaming, and safeguarding public interests.
