Kennedy Agyapong Backs TESCON's Call for More Voting Rights

Kintampo, Bono East Region, Ghana - 23 Feb, 2025 - Former Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has endorsed the proposal to broaden the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) electoral college.

He made this announcement during a visit to the College of Health and Well-Being in Kintampo, Bono East Region, where he addressed TESCON members.

Agyapong commended the students for their unwavering commitment to the NPP and urged them to intensify their efforts as the party prepares for the 2028 elections. He pledged his unreserved support for TESCON, recognizing the vital role they play in mobilizing youth and promoting the party's agenda.

The former lawmaker appealed to senior NPP officials and former government appointees to empower TESCON, enhancing the party's appeal to tertiary students. Agyapong reiterated his commitment to TESCON during a separate meeting with members from the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Sunyani.

Regarding TESCON's voting rights, Agyapong advocated for granting executive members from all accredited institutions the right to participate in national elections. He believes this will foster greater youth involvement in the party's decision-making processes.

Agyapong also expressed support for expanding the electoral college, ensuring that the party's structural integrity is maintained.
