Johnson Asiedu Nketiah Sworn in as GPHA Board Chairman
Accra, Ghana - 25 June, 2025 - The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has been sworn in as the new Board Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
The ceremony, held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, also marked the induction of Professor Ransford Gyampo, Acting CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, as a member of the GPHA board.
As the newly sworn-in Board Chairman, Asiedu Nketiah will oversee the GPHA's strategic direction, focusing on guiding the authority's policies to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness, improving the GPHA's services to facilitate international trade and economic growth, and supporting key projects to develop Ghana's port infrastructure and position the country as a leading maritime hub in West Africa.
A seasoned politician and administrator, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has extensive experience in governance and leadership. He previously served as a Member of Parliament for Wenchi West Constituency and held various roles, including Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.
