President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has ignited a heated debate with his with a scathing critique of the Ghana Armed Forces' readiness, coming on the heels of a devastating helicopter crash that resulted in the deaths of eight people, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.

Cudjoe expressed his grief while demanding answers, suggesting systemic failures within the military. He pointedly noted that there had been "no serious additions and maintenance in the last 8 years," which has left the military's state of preparedness in question.

In a heartfelt yet pointed statement on Facebook, Cudjoe expressed his anger and frustration, stating, "We are mourning but we must demand answers!" He claimed to have insider knowledge from the highest echelons of power, revealing that the Ghana Armed Forces' condition remains "alarmingly terrible" due to a lack of serious additions and maintenance over the past eight years.

The IMANI Africa President ,alleged that Dr. Omane Boamah consistently raised concerns about the Armed Forces' state during security council meetings. A top military liaison officer was quoted as saying, "If even Togo were to attack us, we would be wanting," highlighting the severity of the situation.

Moreover, Cudjoe questioned the allocation of $58 million towards an unspecified project, described as a "crap edifice “ igniting a call for transparency and accountability in government spending.

Franklin Cudjoe' subsequently has promised to provide more details later and a stern warning that "not all mourners are genuine."

This controversy raises questions about governance, accountability, and the management of the Ghana Armed Forces. Franklin Cudjoe has been vocal about issues affecting Ghana, including governance reform and economic management.
