'I Always Want to Be Part of the National Team' - Semenyo

Accra, Ghana - 27 March, 2025 - Ghana's Antoine Semenyo has expressed his pride at representing the Black Stars, describing each call-up as "an honour".

The Bournemouth forward says he feels privileged to play for his country and is committed to making himself available for selection whenever possible.

Semenyo's dedication to the national team has been evident in his performances, including his recent goal in Ghana's 5-0 win over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

With 27 appearances for the Black Stars under his belt, Semenyo says he never takes his position for granted and is driven by a lifelong dream to play for Ghana.

"It's an honour; I always want to be part of the national team," he told SuperSport. "I feel like the only thing that will ever stop me is obviously injury, of course, but I always try to make myself available.

"I always want to play for the nation. It's been a dream of mine from a young age, so anytime I get called up is an honour."
