Health Minister to Provide COVID-19 Update to Parliament Today
Accra, Ghana - 1 July, 2025 - Ghana's Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, is set to appear before Parliament today, Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to provide a comprehensive update on the country's COVID-19 situation.
The briefing, scheduled for 2:00 PM at Parliament House, will cover the nation's public health preparedness, response measures, and the status of infections, vaccinations, and surveillance systems.
The development comes on the heels of a COVID-19 resurgence on the University of Ghana campus, where both suspected and confirmed cases have been reported.
In response, the university has reactivated health protocols and heightened vigilance, advising staff, students, and visitors to remain vigilant and adhere to preventive measures.
