Haruna Iddrisu, Kwame Agbodza, Eric Opoku gets Parliament's Nod
Accra, Ghana - 21 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament has given the green light to President John Mahama's second batch of ministerial nominees, following a successful vetting process by the Appointments Committee.
The committee unanimously endorsed the appointment of three MPs: Haruna Iddrisu (Tamale South), Kwame Governs Agbodza (Adaklu), and Eric Opoku (Asunafo South).
The nominations were debated in Parliament on Tuesday, January 21, under the leadership of Second Deputy Speaker Andrew Asiamah Amoako. After thorough deliberations, both the Majority and Minority caucuses acknowledged the nominees' competence and track records, confirming their ability to lead their respective ministries effectively.
The approved ministers include:
- Haruna Iddrisu: Minister of Education
- Kwame Governs Agbodza: Minister for Roads and Highways
- Eric Opoku: Minister for Food and Agriculture
