Ghana's Mpox Count Hits 346 as 18 New Cases Confirmed, No Fatalities Recorded

Accra, Ghana – 11 August, 2025 – The Ghana Health Service has reported 18 new cases of Mpox, increasing the total number of confirmed infections to 346 as of August 7, 2025.

Fortunately, no new fatalities have been recorded, and the death toll remains at one.

Currently, there are no hospital admissions due to Mpox.

 Meanwhile the service says it is coordinating a national response to manage the outbreak effectively as it works closely with regional health directorates to identify and track individuals who have come into contact with confirmed cases.

According to the Ghana Health Service ,it is stepping up public awareness campaigns to inform citizens about Mpox symptoms, transmission, and prevention measures and continues to monitor the situation closely and urges the public to remain vigilant and cooperative in preventing the spread of the disease.
