Accra, Ghana - 05 Feb, 2025 - Accra is poised to become a hub for cricket coaching excellence as the Ghana Cricket Association prepares to host the inaugural ICC Level One Coach Tutors course, a prestigious training program certified by the International Cricket Council, from February 6-8.

The ICC Level One Coach Tutors course, scheduled to take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium Conference Hall, will bring together 15 selected coaches from across Ghana.

The training programme is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to become ICC-certified coaching tutors, enabling them to train and mentor future cricket coaches.

According to Prince Eugene King, Cricket Operations Officer of the Ghana Cricket Association, the course is a crucial component of the ICC's Coaching and Education programme, aimed at enhancing coaching capabilities in ICC Africa member nations.

Experienced ICC facilitators Chris Cardoso and Jolene Campher from South Africa will lead the course, covering key aspects of coaching delivery, including communication, planning, and assessment.
