GFA President Kurt Okraku Elected to CAF Executive Committee

Accra, Ghana - 12 March, 2025 - Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has secured a seat on the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) Executive Committee, further solidifying Ghana's influence in African football.
Okraku's uncontested election to the 24-member committee marks a significant milestone in his tenure as GFA President, which began in 2019.
Recognized for his exceptional leadership, Okraku has implemented various initiatives aimed at rejuvenating Ghanaian football. His focus on enhancing transparency, promoting grassroots football, women's football, and youth development has garnered widespread acclaim within the African football community.
As a member of the CAF Executive Committee, Okraku will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of African football. His presence on the committee is expected to amplify Ghana's voice in decision-making processes, ultimately benefiting the country's football development and legacy.
Okraku joins an illustrious list of Ghanaian football administrators who have served on the CAF Executive Committee, including Ohene Djan, Kobina Hagan, Nana Fredua Mensah, Samuel Okyere, and Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The four-year term runs from 2025-2029.
