GES Declares March 7 Holiday for Schoolchildren as Ghana Turns 68

Accra, Ghana - 07 March, 2025 - Schools across Ghana will close on Friday, March 7, to give students a break after participating in Independence Anniversary celebrations.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) made the announcement, saying the holiday is a gesture of appreciation for the students' efforts in marking the country's independence.
The break will last for three days, with schools resuming normal activities on Monday, March 10. Parents and guardians are advised to take note of this announcement
The GES in a statement, has apologized for any inconvenience caused by the sudden announcement and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of all parties involved.
