Former Ghanaian Footballer Awudu Issaka Reveals Shocking Confession

Accra, Ghana – 31 July, 2025 – Former Ghanaian international and 1995 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner, Awudu Issaka, has made a stunning revelation about his football career in Europe. In a recent interview with Accra-based Sporty FM, Issaka confessed to using spiritual practices, commonly referred to as "juju" or black magic, in a desperate bid to secure more playing time at German club 1860 Munich.

Issaka revealed that he was often benched while competing with German legend Thomas Häßler for a starting spot. Frustrated by his limited opportunities, Issaka turned to a spiritualist, paying significant amounts of money and even sacrificing a cow to try and undermine his rival's position in the team.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Häßler approached Issaka and offered to help him find another club where he could play more minutes. Issaka refused, believing that the juju was working, and instead asked the spiritualist to continue the rituals. Unfortunately, his career ultimately suffered, and he regrets his decision.

Issaka now advises young footballers to focus on their natural talents and work hard to earn their place in a team, rather than resorting to spiritual spells. "I would advise footballers to abstain from resorting to the use of spiritual spells [juju] to thrive as a player because it won't end well," he said.

Today, Issaka runs a football academy in Ghana, where he grooms young talents and teaches them the importance of hard work and dedication. His story serves as a cautionary tale for young athletes, highlighting the importance of staying true to oneself and one's values.
