Election 2024: Bawumia, Mahama seek Ga Mantse's blessing

Ghana's leading presidential candidates, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP and Former President John Mahama of the NDC, have made a last-ditch effort to win over the GaDangme Region by paying a visit to the King of the Capital, Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.

A recent poll by Mussa Dankwa, Executive Director and Head of Global Research at Global InfoAnalytics, highlights the significance of the GaDangme Region, with 22 out of 37 constituencies boasting a voting population of over 100,000.

These 22 constituencies contribute a whopping 2.5 million voters, making the GaDangme Region a crucial demographic that cannot be ignored.

Dr. Bawumia, in his manifesto launch speech, outlined his vision for Ghana, emphasizing the need for a mindset of possibilities, fiscal discipline, and private sector empowerment.

He also proposed a flat tax regime, reforms to the Value Added Tax (VAT) system, and measures to reduce the cost of living.

With the election just around the corner, it's clear that both candidates are pulling out all the stops to win over this critical region.
