EC identifies shortfalls in ballot papers for Volta constituencies, moves to print additional batch
A critical issue has arisen in Ghana's electoral process, as the Electoral Commission (EC) has discovered a shortfall in presidential and parliamentary ballot papers for several constituencies in the Volta Region.
The affected areas include Keta, Ketu North, Ho Central, Hohoe, and Ho West
In a proactive move to address the issue, the EC has arranged for the printing of additional ballot papers at Acts Commercials. To ensure transparency, political parties and independent presidential candidates have been invited to observe the printing process.
Each party has been asked to delegate two representatives to witness the process, which is scheduled to take place today, Friday, November 29, 2024, at 10:00 am at Acts Commercials Printing House in Accra.
This was contained in a statement signed by Samuel Tettey, the EC's Deputy Chairman of Operations on Nov 28.
He reassured the public of the Commission's commitment to transparency and accuracy in the electoral process.
