Accra, Ghana - October 28, 2024 - Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC) has announced adjustments to ballot paper allocation for 20 polling stations ahead of the 2024 general elections.

This development, outlined in a press release on Monday, October 28, is part of the EC's efforts to refine electoral processes based on recent court rulings and feedback from the re-exhibition of the 2024 Provisional Voters Register ¹.

The decision to modify ballot allocations follows comprehensive reviews by District Registration Review Officers and High Courts, aimed at addressing discrepancies during voter registration. The re-exhibition process allowed citizens and parties to verify voter information, identifying inaccuracies or omissions that could impact election day.

The EC emphasized transparency and collaboration throughout this revision process. According to the press release, the affected polling stations require additional ballot booklets, with revised ballot statistics shared with political parties, independent presidential candidates, and printing firms.
