Accra, Ghana - 04 Feb, 2025 - Dr Victor Asare Bampoe has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana's National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), succeeding Dr Da Costa Aboagye.

In his first address to NHIA staff, Dr Bampoe emphasized the need to "uncap the NHIS levy" to enhance healthcare access and quality of service delivery for all.

He also pledged to work towards achieving the goals outlined in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) health manifesto, which prioritizes universal health coverage, better healthcare financing, and a sustainable NHIS.
