CBG assures customers of uninterrupted services amid forex license suspension

Accra, Ghana - Nov 14, 2024 - Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has moved to calm customer concerns following the Bank of Ghana's (BoG) one-month suspension of its foreign exchange license.

The suspension, effective November 26, stems from CBG's non-compliance with market regulations.

However, in a press statement released on Nov 13, the bank apologized for any inconvenience and stated that it was working diligently to restore its forex services

“We want to reassure our valued customers that this suspension does not impact on CBG’s normal banking operations. Except for foreign exchange products and services, all our branches and digital platforms will continue providing customers with our full range of services. We fully expect to restore foreign exchange products after our engagement with the Bank of Ghana”.
