BTS Jin Gets Surprise Welcome from Chris Martin at Coldplay's Concert in Seoul
BTS member Jin surprised the large audience that convened to watch Coldplay by taking on the stage with Chris Martin to perform The Astronaut live.
As part of the band's ongoing Music of the Spheres 2025 concert in Seoul, it not just became an unforgettable moment in Coldplay's South Korea tour, but it also gave ARMY a meltdown.
BTS and Coldplay reunion
The two music artistes sharing the stage was absolute nostalgia taking the audiece back to 2022 when they collaborated for The Astronaut. Coldplay had previously joined forces with BTS for My Universe in 2021.
On April 19, Jin arrived on stage and gave out a heartfelt message for the fans of both sides. He said, "Before I went to the military, my last stage was Coldplay's. Now, my first concert after my discharge is also Coldplay's."
Chris Martin added to the moment. He said, "It’s all because of you that we have this relationship with BTS. We missed you man, you've been in the military but you still look so HANDSOME. Look at this beautiful man!"

Martin's words left the audience and ARMY gushing. Many couldn't hold back in reacting to the moment on social media. "#JIN & #ChrisMartin move the crowd with their amazing performance of #TheAstronaut at #Coldplay's concert in Korea tonight!" wrote a user on X.
Another one added, "Seeing Coldplay a group that I grew up with and seeing Jin never in my life would I ever thought that this kind of collaboration with my two favourite bands would ever come true I can’t stop crying. I’m so happy that I’m alive to see this moment."

Jin had previously made a guest appearance at Coldplay's Buenos Aires concert, where they performed The Astronaut for the first time.
