Black Stars' World Cup Qualifier Against Madagascar Moved to Morocco

The Black Stars' 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar, initially scheduled for Antananarivo, will now take place in Al Hoceima, Morocco, on March 24, 2025.

The venue change comes after Madagascar's national stadium failed to meet approval standards.

The match will be played at the Grand Stade d'Al Hoceima, a neutral ground, just three days after Ghana's home fixture against Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Otto Addo's side is seeking a strong start to 2025, following a disappointing 2024 campaign that saw them fail to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Ghana currently shares top spot in Group I with Comoros, having accumulated nine points from four matches, with wins over Madagascar, Mali, and the Central African Republic.
